Altadia U.S.A. agregó un nuevo capítulo a la historia de su marca Montecristo con el lanzamiento desde el 2014 con los puros Espada Quillion by Montecristo, una nueva colaboración entre el Grupo de Maestros de la compañía y la familia Plasencia.

Son un puros nicaragüense con tabaco proveniente principalmente de la región de Jalapa del país. La capa es un Habano Jalapa Vintage 2010, mientras que el aglutinante es una cosecha 2009. El relleno se basa en un trío de hojas de cosecha 2008: Habano Jalapa seco, Habano Ometepe viso y Habano ligero de Condega. El perfil de sabores de los Espada Quillion Grupo de Maestros   se describe como picante, fuerte, atrevido y valiente pero que mantiene una sofisticación mundana.
